Food is a big part of Indonesian culture and my ancestory. At a very young age my mum, dad and grandma learned to cook delicious traditional dishes that we still eat on a regular basis. My mum bakes decadent cakes every week for our family to eat and my parents both take turns cooking dinner. I also really enjoy cooking and baking and I think it comes from my parents who are excellent cooks.
My family loves travelling! They love the adventure an learning about new places. As a family we have been to Indonesia, Australia, around New Zealand and the USA. My parents are quite the travellers, they've been to places such as China, Vietnam and Singapore!
My mum's side of the family are all Christian, but my dad's side of the family is Catholic. To avoid confusion for my sisters and I my mum became a Cathoilic. "Religion plays a big part in my life. I can’t imagine growing up alone without knowing God. It gives me strength and hope."- My 90 year old grandma.
